American Marketing Association Drexel

Did you know that nearly 1.2 million people in the U.S. are living with, or are in remission from, a blood cancer?  In all likelihood, a blood cancer diagnosis has drastically impacted the life of a family member, a co-worker, or a friend of yours.  However, thanks to the research and patient services efforts spearheaded by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), the survival rate for these individuals has greatly increased and the quality of life for patients has vastly improved. LLS supports major programs that involve live-saving research, patient services, and various other community services.

This year, American Marketing Association Drexel (AMAD) will be raising money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society during the spring term.

Volunteer duties include: Selling tickets, welcoming guests, giving demonstrations on craft projects, or helping guests to make their projects!

** A clearance is needed to volunteer but it should only take a few minutes and clearances are good for 5 years, so if you have already done one for Drexel it's still good! **

This Saturday, November 7th is Philadelphia's Walk to Stop Diabetes at the Philadelphia Art Museum and AMAD needs your help! Volunteers are needed between 6:30am and 12pm on Saturday November 7th! You can pick any job that you would like to work including: working the registration table, setting up the event, cheering on walkers, working the concessions stand, and taking down the event afterwards.

This would be a great opportunity for volunteer hours, and to support a meaningful cause. If you are interest in participating please contact our Community Service Chair: Kaleigh  and she will provide you with the simple waiver that all volunteers need to fill out by Thursday November 5th. This event is not exclusive to AMAD members so feel free to bring your friends! Please let us know if you're interested ASAP so that we can give an estimate as to how many volunteers we'll be providing and for more information about the event click here.
